We write with grave concern regarding Gucci's use of seal fur in its boots. By using this cruel product, Gucci is condoning and supporting the largest, most barbaric slaughter of marine mammals on the planet. As you are well aware, baby seals are bludgeoned with clubs, dragged across ice floes with boat hooks while they are still conscious, and tossed into heaps of dead and dying seals, leaving their carcasses to rot because there is no market for their meat. Please, we beseech you to stop selling fur. Whether it's from clubbing baby seals, electrocuting minks on fur farms, or crushing lynxes' legs in steel traps, every fur item that Gucci sells represents unimaginable suffering.
